Alex Urena

Alex Urena is a script writer who needs all the flexibility WebFlow brings to the table. This site includes full blog functionality, custom designed and coded portfolio file management, and unique industry theming.

Visual continuity breeds connection with potential clients. Before this project I had little exposure to the film industry at this level. Alex pointed me in the right direction and I built the site around the Giallo art style. Many comments from his colleagues confirm success in this endeavor.

Alex wanted the ability to display his script writing work to visitors in a familiar way while also allowing for downloading and offline consumption. WebFlow's flexibility allowed me to implement this functionality with custom code.

Another goal was to update and change elements independently. Webflow's editor system is conducive to this and I provided Alex the training to manage his content with confidence.

Woodlander Toys

Woodlander Toys needed an e-commerce system that could accommodate all of their custom order needs and communicate their unique branding. We created them a beautiful Shopify site with email list integration.

Function: E-commerce

Shopify is one of the go-to platforms for people looking to build an independent e-commerce shop. However, it has some limitations when attempting things outside the norm.

I reworked the layout, color scheme, copywriting, and photo choice to communicate their branding message.

Back end Shopify plugins and custom code allowed me to create a system to support the many customization services offered by Woodlander Toys.

Mary Veltman

Mary works with children in South Africa. She needed a landing page and email list to communicate with her supporters. Carrd.co and ConvertKit fit the bill. The low hosting cost and simple flexibility were the perfect combination.

Before pulling me into the project, Mary had taken a stab at building this landing page using the built-in ConvertKit tools. Her parent organization was dictating the color choices and they didn't fit with her personality and message. Once I understood the dilemma I was able to create the clean, modern feel she wanted while complying with the prescribed branding scheme.

Mary wanted the ability for her supporters to decide which of her content was delivered to their inbox. ConvertKit supports this special segmenting of the email audience. I used custom CSS to coordinate the ConvertKit form with the style of the Carrd website.
